Direct Marketing

Jenny started in outside sales in Austin with Cable and Wireless during the
divestiture of AT&T.

She worked for Dun & Bradstreet during the leveraged buyouts of the
eighties as a Customer Support Representative delivering D&B reports to
clients and up-selling additional financial reports.

She also worked at Harris Publishing in Austin selling directories to school
alumni where she averaged over 150 calls per day and was consistently in
the top 2 percent in sales out of a sales force of over 200.
PowerPoint

As technical editor and writer for DSI, Inc., Jenny created storyboards in
PowerPoint for computer-based training (CBT). She worked in teams with
project managers, instructional system designers, engineers, subject matter
experts, technical writers, and developers.
Professional Editing

Jenny has edited over 250 books, some for best-selling authors as listed
in the New York Times and USA Today.

She has worked for the publishing groups associated with Kensington
Publishers in New York City: Brava Books, Zebra Books, Dafina Books,
Kensington Books, Citadel Books, and Pinnacle Imprints.

She was technical editor at DSI, Inc. editing manuals, elearning,
storyboards, the DSI, Inc. Web site, and requests for proposals.

Jenny is currently senior copy editor for Elderberry Press.

Web site Development

Jenny creates brochure Web sites in Yahoo's SiteBuilder, a powerful
easy-to-use tool allowing her clients to update their sites themselves, if they
so choose.

Her affordable rates ensure that anyone who needs to have an online
presence can.
Jenny Magar has worked in sales, training development, collections, and
publishing. Today, she freelances her services to consultants, small
businesses, publishers, and authors. Jenny received a BA in English from
Texas State University.
